Ammunition

Lead-free primer range ammunition

Lead is toxic, and at the firing line most of the lead you breathe comes out of the primer as smoke. Every EcoBullet load uses a lead-free primer with no lead styphnate, so less toxic lead reaches the air while you train. Our 9mm and 300 Blackout bullets also have a total metal jacket that encloses the lead core, base included, so the hot gas has no exposed lead to strip off. Our goal is simple: keep lead away from the shooter, in ammunition that shoots like the range ammo you already know.

Which load is for you

  • 9mm Luger: 115 and 124 grain total metal jacket on recycled brass. For pistols and pistol-caliber carbines, indoor ranges, and ported guns.
  • .223 Remington: 55 grain full metal jacket with a lead-free primer, on recycled brass. For AR training, indoors and out.
  • 300 Blackout: Shadow, a 220 grain subsonic total metal jacket load for suppressed rifles.

Good to know before you order

All loads are loaded in the USA to SAAMI specifications and sold in boxes of 50, with carbon-neutral manufacturing and operations through verified carbon offset credits. They're range-training loads, not hunting loads: the bullets have a lead core. An independent reviewer ran our 9mm through five handguns; the results are in our post on the GBGuns test.

You must be 21 or older to order, and a few states require extra steps, which you can find in our state-by-state shipping guide. Orders over $199 (after discounts) ship free within the contiguous 48 states, and customers near Chattanooga, Tennessee, can pick up by appointment. Ranges, instructors, and agencies can get volume pricing and samples on our ranges and agencies page. Questions? Use the website chat, write to info@ecobullet.us, or call +1 423 445 0808.
