EcoBullet .223 Rem 55gr FMJ is a training round for AR-platform shooters, built for enclosed bays and indoor rifle ranges. The 55 grain bullet keeps the velocity profile most AR-15s are zeroed with.
What is lead-free, and what isn't
The primer is the lead-free part: no lead styphnate goes into the smoke at ignition, which reduces one known source of airborne lead. The bullet is a standard 55 grain full metal jacket with a lead core and an open base. It doesn't expand, and it isn't a hunting load.
How it shoots
Loaded to SAAMI specifications for .223 Remington, at about 3,240 fps and 1,280 ft-lbs. Rifles chambered in .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO can fire it, and a 55 grain bullet suits the common AR-15 barrel twists.
Who makes it
EcoBullet is a veteran-owned company from Chattanooga, Tennessee. The rounds are loaded in the USA in recycled brass cases, which you can reload. EcoBullet is carbon-neutral: the footprint of manufacturing and logistics is offset through verified carbon offset credits.
