9mm Luger

Lead-free primer 9mm for indoor training

Our 9mm Luger comes in two weights, 115 and 124 grain, both with a lead-free primer and a total metal jacket (TMJ) bullet. A conventional primer sends toxic lead styphnate smoke out of the muzzle and the ejection port at face height; ours contains none. The TMJ jacket covers the base of the lead core, so the hot gas has no exposed lead to strip off. The result: less lead where you breathe, at standard 9mm weights that feel like the range ammo you already shoot.

115 grain or 124 grain?

  • 9mm 115gr TMJ: $19.99 per 50 ($0.40 per round), about 1,150 fps. The everyday training load, and the one that was independently tested: in December 2025, the GBGuns channel ran it through five handguns with 3 to 11.25 inch barrels (see the results).
  • 9mm 124gr TMJ: $21.99 per 50 ($0.44 per round). A little more recoil, and the practice choice for people who carry 124 grain.

Built for the way you train

Both loads are loaded in the USA to SAAMI specifications on recycled brass that you can reload, in boxes of 50. They're intended for any firearm chambered in 9mm Luger, from compact pistols to pistol-caliber carbines, and they make the most difference where gas comes back at you: indoor bays and ported or compensated pistols. They're training rounds, not hunting loads. If you want the details on what "lead-free 9mm" can mean on a box, read our guide to lead-free 9mm ammo.
